Facial Masks are
non-setting masks. They are used to overcome the dehydration of the skin. Facial
Packs are setting masks and help in skin purification. They take more time to dry
and while removing from face, as they must be wetted first and then gently
removed.
Facial Masks are used to reduce the dryness of
the skin. When applied they do not dry easily on your face. Indeed, they work a
lot for moisturizing your skin and in reviving its natural glow. Facial masks
can help skin in many ways ranging from its exfoliative to anti-ageing effects.
Face packs
are often stated as ‘healing’ solutions for the skin, while masks as ‘rejuvenating.
‘Even if your skin is healing, it is on the path towards rejuvenation. When it
begins the rejuvenating journey, there should be healthy and clean skin as the
strong foundation for skin rejuvenating agents of face masks to act upon. The nourishment
& rejuvenation getting from the application of face masks must be continued
for a long time regularly, at specified intervals for improved healthy glow and
delaying changes related to ageing.
Thus both
face packs and masks are so important in your skin care routine, but choose
them prudently considering the nature of your skin and skin problems. Everyone’s
skin conditions are not the same & each skin needs specific type of face
mask or pack treatment. Take suggestions from a health consultant if you need a
deeper level analysis of your skin and problems, to choose the most suitable
face pack or face mask.
Comparison between Facial Masks and Facial Packs
Facial
masks are non-setting masks and may take a longer period of time to dry out. Facial Packs are setting masks. Mask
mainly removes the dead skins while face packs clear the dirt and other
impurities which clog the pores of skin. In face packs rice powder, multani
mitti, sandal wood powder etc. are used as the base for drying out the pack. In
masks, gels, clay etc. are used as agents to fix it upon the skin.
A face pack
usually tends to be thicker and denser than a mask.
It is
usually advised that not to talk or move your facial muscles too much when you
have a pack on. Removing a pack takes just a little bit more time and effort in
comparison to a mask.
Although face packs are generally known for their cleansing effects, they also nourish your skin due to their rich, soothing ingredients. There are various types of face masks, from cream, gels to natural fruits and vegetables extracts with different benefits. Various types of face masks include:
